THE EFFECT OF THE USE OF INDONESIAN LANGUAGE AND JAVANESE LANGUAGE IN THE FABLE COMIC ABOUT BIODIVERSITY OF WAY KAMBAS NATIONAL PARK TO THE CONSERVATION ATTITUDE OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Media to deliver messages ,(2) to find out the effectiveness of Bahasa Indonesia or Javanese language in delivering messages about the conservation of biodiver-
sity in Way Kambas National Park to children, (3) to create a media that able to enhance children’s knowledge about how important the conservation of Way Kambas National Park is.
Because the participants come from different ethnic groups: Javanese, Balinese and Sundanese ,the fable comic is designed in two mainly spoken language:
Indonesian language and Javanese language. Before the real research, there is a preliminary test. The test is to test the media’s reliability. It is also conducted to find out wheter there will be parts of the media that need to be repaired. The media reliability test will test on : attraction, self-involvement, understanding and acceptance.
The research found that the comic fable using Javanese language is more significant in raising the students’ conservation attitude than the one in Indonesian language. The effectivity of Javanese language can be observed from all class group (clas 4, 5 and 6) of the elementary students who read the comic fable in Javanese language version. More specific, the students of grade six show the highest score of raising and the lowest is the students in grade four.
The conclusions from the research are: (1) the fable comic about the bio diversity of Way Kambas National Park is able to enhance the conservation attitude of students in the village of Brajayekti, (2) the use of Bahasa Indonesia and Javanese language in the fable comic about bio diversity of Way Kambas national Park can affect the conservation attitude of elementary school students in the village of Brajayekti, (3) Javanese language is more effective in influencing students’ conservation attitude.
